Adding Nature Items to Your Mark Making Toolkit
Control or curiosity?
Which one do you want in your creative practice?
It’s hard to let go of control, which is why I like to use different mark making items in my work.
This week, it’s all about the natural objects I found in my yard. I tried out stamping, drawing lines, scraping, and more with flowers, leaves, berries, and even a piece of tree stump.
You can see what happens when I feel I go too far with the texture and how I reel it back into something I like better. It’s all about experimentation, which is why I love my sketchbooks!
