Color Studies in Daniel Smith Watercolors
Did you catch the last three weeks of color swatching the Daniel Smith Primatek and Duochrome watercolors? It’s one of my favorite ways to destress and explore without any destination in mind. When you want to create something, but you’re feeling stuck, check out the previous videos to see how easy and relaxing color swatching can be.
This week, I’m going to play around with some of the colors that were mixed with the Buff Titanium and Quinacridone Burnt Orange. I love giving myself limitations because it expands the creative flow. To do that, I’m picking two colors, Rhodonite Genuine and Mayan Blue Genuine, plus the Buff Titanium and Quinacridone Burnt Orange. Let’s see what happens when I play around with these four colors.
Did you spot any color combos you’d like to try that I didn’t even notice? I’d love to hear which ones spoke to you.
Which color study did you like the best?
