I would sit at the sturdy kitchen table surrounded by My Little Pony coloring books and crayons. Color was as fascinating to me then, as I sported pigtails and neon colors with abandon, as it is now.
It’s a subject to explore for a lifetime without running out of new mysteries to dive into. That can also make it overwhelming if you’re a beginner painter.
