Let’s Get Moody: Weekly Moodboard Color Challenge

Picture a little girl with a crimped-hair side ponytail and lime green polka dot jumper. It was the ‘80s man and I was happiest with the wind blowing through my hair as I rode my Barbie pink banana seat bike with sparkly tassels to the general store down the street to find some Bonkers. Do you remember those?

I grew up on Main Street in a tiny town in Pennsylvania that had no stoplight until I was in high school. I rode my bike everywhere and enjoyed every second.

Being a kid is all about being in the moment and somewhere along the path of growing up we forget what it’s like to just be.

We forget how to play.

Not anymore!

I’m so excited to announce Let’s Get Moody.

Weekly color prompts to get you painting aka playing.

Moodboard inspiration is a major component, hence the name of the challenge.

What is Let’s Get Moody?

The purpose of Let's Get Moody is to inspire your creativity, encourage you to create on a regular basis, and have fun doing it! Creative block isn't allowed to win anymore.

You don't have to finish anything, all you have to do is play. I want you to discover the beauty, peace, and joy found in the creative process itself.

Join me in the challenge to use each moodboard to create art in 10 minutes or less. Why? I want you to see how loose and fun painting can be. And I also want you to realize you don't need hours of time to create.

Notice how fun the process is! Some of these creations may be beautiful, while others may be total disasters. And that’s ok!

I'll be sharing my creations, the good, the bad, and the ugly, on my YouTube channel.

Here’s the first moodboard you’ll receive when you sign up today - Terracotta Mint

I find prompts to be an amazing way to get creative inspiration flowing.

Use the colors and the photos each week to inspire your next creation. It doesn’t matter if this is your first painting or your thousandth, all levels of creativity are welcome here.

Terracotta Mint is the first moodboard you’ll receive in your welcome email. From then on, you’ll get a new one every Thursday!
